29 Steps 6 – 9: Finishing Touches

Step 6: Write your lesson summary.

  • Write a brief paragraph highlighting what students will LEARN using standard-based language and how it will be assessed, Highlight any special features such as technology integration, collaborative groups, etc.

Step 7: List materials, technology and resources

  • Be sure to site the standards.

  • Use APA format for your citations.

Step 8: Select the focus elements relevant to your lesson.

Step 9: Write your reflection.

  • If you are able to teach your lesson, reflect upon areas of growth and areas that need improvement based on your implementation.

  • If you have not taught your lesson, discuss the areas of growth and areas that need improvement based on your lesson planning process.
