Faculty Evaluation

The American Women’s College uses a rubric to define and evaluate achievement levels for our faculty competencies.  During the evaluation process, you will be required to use the rubric to conduct a self-assessment.  The Faculty Development Coordinator or Program Director will complete the rubric as well to assess your performance of our standard competencies and to provide feedback for your future development.  The self-assessment and completed evaluation will be reviewed and discussed during your evaluation meeting.

Evaluation Plan

We evaluate first-time instructors after their first course with us so that new faculty benefit from all the support and guidance we have available.  The Faculty Development Coordinator or your program director will perform your evaluation. You will contribute to the evaluation process by first completing a self-assessment.

The purpose of our competency list, rubric, and evaluation plan is to help you continually improve your practice as an educator. The feedback you receive will be a guide for how to engage the professional development community, courses, and tools that we make available to you.

We look forward to partnering with you to serve our students and to provide them with a high-quality learning experience.
