The Psychology Handbook is designed to provide students with the chance to explore the various opportunities within the field of psychology while also building connections with their peers.  When people consider employment prospects within the field of psychology, many people think about careers limited to clinical or counseling psychology, forgetting about all of the other options that are out there.

Exploration and networking is so important because we don’t always know the direction our lives will takeThe job market is not the same as it once was, when people would start and end their career in the same field or position. We have to be flexible and aware of all of the different options that exist.  While studying psychology, you will acquire skills and knowledge that are very transferable across many different disciplines.  This results in a lot of flexibility!

Our virtual learning community can serve as a great resource and opportunity for connection with your peers as you move through your degree program.  In this community you will find information about the following:

  • Career Development
  • Current Employment Opportunities
  • Graduate School
  • Internships
  • Introduction to the Psychology Major
  • Professional Associations
  • Psi Chi, the International Honor Society for Psychology
