What to Do When You Have a Problem:

Is the problem with:

  • Understanding your course requirements or syllabus?
  • Understanding the course material?

If yes, contact your instructor. Use the method specified in the syllabus.

Is the problem with:

  • Accessing your Canvas course?
  • Understanding how to submit an assignment?
  • Understanding how to participate in a discussion?
  • Understanding how to take a quiz?

What if I am Having a Different Problem?

Visit the IT Helpdesk Homepage.

  • To open a Support Ticket, scroll down on the Helpdesk home page and click on “Submit a Ticket”
  • When you are entering a ticket, please include as much detail as possible. If a part of your Canvas course is not working right, be sure to tell us:
    • course number and section
    • week number and assignment/discussion/page title
    • details of what is happening
    • screenshots, if possible
  • The more details you give, the faster we can start working on the issue rather than asking you for more information.
  • Use the “attach a file” option if you have a screenshot or other information that may assist us.
