Project Tools (Google Suite, Templates, etc.)

Project work will take place mostly within Google Suite products. If you are not familiar with the primary Google Suite products (Drive, Docs, Sheets), you may consider reviewing Google’s documentation. The primary required functions will be covered in this  section. Your ID will also be able to answer questions and provide ongoing support for the duration of the project.

Google Drive: The Project Folder

Work for each development project is organized in the Project Folder in Google Drive that will be shared with the SME, PD, and ID.

This is where you will find:

  • The Project Management Sheet
  • Week 1-6 Content Templates [1]
  • Rubric Templates
  • Syllabus Template
  • Any and all other content created for the course project and any miscellaneous resources intended to be used in course development

You can check out this sample project folder to familiarize yourself with the contents.

Content Templates

Content Templates for each week are Google Docs which allow for collaboration between members of the team.

You’ll find example content templates in single-week and six-week format in the sample project folder.

Rubric Templates

Rubric Templates will be in Google Sheets.

Check out the rubric templates in the sample project folder to familiarize yourself with the formatting.

  1. Note that some PDs prefer to use separate content templates for each week (1-6), while some prefer one long template (a single document) with a section for each week. If you have questions about your specific project's templates, you can always consult your PD or ID.
